Is there any likelihood of BBC R2 coming onto the Irish EPG ??, I access it via other channels ate the moment, but its a pain & means I can't record using sky+ (when sky+ works that is !!)

Other query relates to the gnome...I know there was a thread (which I cant find without search) saying that it wasnt available in Ireland..but does that mean it won't 'work' in Ireland ??...if I was to buy one in the UK, could I use it to get BBC R2 while I soak in the tub ;)

Unlikely as BBC would not be able to justify the extra expense of Irish EPG.

Sky is unlikely to do it either as they would have to pay BBC.

Get a 90 Euro FTA receiver and decide your own channels.

    The Gnome would work here.

Thanks guys.....FTA receiver would be one route to go, but I really would like to R2 whever I am in the house....looks like the gnome might be my only option

I have a little FM transmitter on 88.7mhz about 100mts coverage fed into a FTA receiver which transmits BBC4&5,NPR,LBC 97.3 and RTE Radio 1 around the house and garden through to a little baby sized Sony radio walkman.

The wife has all her sat TV on 89.1mhz with her walkman.

We live rural to no hassle!!!

Its heaven listening to your favourite radio station with headphones as you're doing DIY!!!
