Ok, this is the deal. I asked for help on this before, but nothing really worked, so this is one last desperate plea!!!

I'm using Azureus 2.3.0.4 and getting download speeds of less than 5kb/s. Before I upgraded to Azureus 2.3.0.4 I was getting speeds of 170+kb/s.

I have made some software changes in the last few weeks. I have changed from Norton to AVG, and from ZoneAlarm to Sygate. I have opened all appropriate ports thro Sygate as per instructiond at http://firewalling.com/personalfirewalls/sygatepersonalfirewallpro.htm

Azureus shows a "NAT error" when I test my chosen port. I am using a Prestige 600 and my chosen port is open... all instructions on http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/Prestige600/Azureus.htm followed fully.

I have also set up a static IP address as per http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm

I am 100% certain I have done everything totally correctly (I'm sure because a few weeks ago I had fast download speeds and no Nat errors and smiley faces), but when I test my chosen port with https://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=52525 I get a "stealth" result.

I also seem to have a non-static IP address when I look at http://www.whatismyip.com/ ... its definately not the static IP I set up for my connestion in "network settings".

    I'm using WinXP (SP2).

Guys, this is really killing me here... I'm at my wits end. WTF am I doing wrong here!!?!?

ANY ideas / suggestions very very welcome...

Mods, please delete this thread... this was submitted twice in error... an identical thread open elsewhere in "computers" forum.

    Thanks mods.

Anyone with any suggestions/answers please DO NOT reply here... reply to my other thread please.
