Laptop Spillage!

Curses! After months of being uber-careful about liquids near my laptop, I managed to spill a small glass of milk on the keyboard tonight. I know, I know.

I thought I got it all mopped up but now the down arrow-key on my Dell Inspiron Laptop isn't working!

Any ideas? (apart from kicking myself a lot, I've already done that)

ah...Welll those keys, if done carefully, can be removed and replaced easily....you could try that and bring a cloth to it....apart from that I really don't know mate

NEVER USE A HAIRDRYER ON SPILLS, EVER !!!!

any dissolved solids will be baked permentantly

    Suggestions:
remove power cables and remove battery, don't wait to shut down windows or power off

lots of kitchen roll / tissue paper , and position laptop with liquid at the bottom, cotton buds if they will reach - use folded tissue paper to run between the keys

remove CD / HDD too so can put tissue there to adsorb water there if applicable

as with any electronics let dry naturally THEN into the hot press overnight

    only put back in Battery

    Chickens - check!

OK, I did the usual -upside down, etc.

Now the only key not working is my "Bottom Arrow" key. I know it could be worse, and this is a testament to my own stupidity for drinking a glass of milk while studying in bed, but does anyone have any ideas?

Should I chance it, prise the bottom button off with a knife and begin "OPERATION: COTTON BUD"? Or should I count my blessings, and install a drip so I never have to orally consume liquids again?
