    I never know what to do in these tourny situations! I hate twats betting all-in with middle pair and letting the all-in draw to a low flush after the higher flush draw folded.... In this situation I had a decent hand and the pot was large enough.

    Does anyone have any rule or formula, eg if the pot is worth more than half your stack bet??? or if you have the nuts bet??

    I was left with about 3900, and there was 1700 in the pot. (BB in for 300 folded pre-flop!!?!)

    As long as it's not on the bubble or a worthwhile money jump I don't see anything wrong with betting a good hand.

    I'd have no problem with you betting here to try to elimate someone from the hand. You have two pair and you need those chips.

    The distinction is that it's important not to bluff at a dry pot.

    I'd have bet. I've kicked myself too many times after letting other non-all in players draw out on me.


    ... and if jaxaxe folded what would've been a flush and you lost to the all-in's st8 or set .. then so be it. Thats poker ;)
