Football on Men and Motors

Flicking through the Sky digital schedule tonight and I noticed Men and Motors were showing the Middlesbrough UEFA cup match. It was a feed from ITV4 with the ITV4 logo in the corner. I texted my brother to tell him and he told me the Chelsea match was also on M&M. Those were the only 2 matches on ITV4 since its launch on Tuesday afaik. Are M&M going to show all ITV4 football?

Or better still, is ITV4 going to be available in Ireland?

I think M&M is carrying ITV4 after 6.30pm or so until ITV4 gets an EPG number (in the UK) next week some time.

Cheers. I missed the other topic. Actually, why are they showing "Mike Reid: Live and Uncensored" now. That's a M&M show. I'm confused.

M&M showed the launch night of ITV4 and Middlesbrough because i presume there would have been war if the supporters of all clubs involved didnt see their teams play

I can see no reason why ITV4 could not have properly launched on satellite on Tuesday night as they are still showing it on 10072. Why are the delaying the "official " launch.

i am hearing something about Sky only being able to launch a certain amount of channels each week meaning ITV4 had to wait until next week

It,s hard to know, maybe it has nothing to do with sky.Could ITV be trying to promote the freeview platform instead of sky.

No, I'm pretty sure it is to do with Sky not giving them EPG placement in time for the launch.
