    Could be as the xbox was. They left the region encoding up to the game developers, some capcom games were multiregion just dont ask which ones were

    Interesting bit of news, if there's anything to it. It could just be deflection to try and discourage buyers from getting the 360 this Christmas, though. I'd say we'll see a lot of that from Sony.
    If it's true though, Sony have made a great move and MS will suffer from it.
    In my own opinion I'd imagine that Nintendo is the most likely to go region free, though, but that's just because they have the most to gain from it (and because Nintendo importing is a big untapped market compared to Sony and MS importing, because of how easy it is to play GC imports)
