    Dear Mark
Thank you for contacting the ITV Duty Office.
I appreciate that you are not able to record ITV services using Sky+ but
can confirm that there are no plans to make our services available on
the Sky EPG in the Irish Republic.
I'm sorry for any disappointment caused but at least you can now view
ITV using the 'Other Channels' function.
    Kind regards,
    Duty Officer

I wonder did the person replying know that ITV3 was on ROI EPG?

It was probably another one of the classic Channel 4 excuses as to why they (Ch4) are not on sky is because they don't have any rights to broadcast into the Republic - even though we get E4 AND Channel 4 on NTL and Chorus in Ireland  I don't see why ITV 4 shouldn't be on the EPG...

Might aswell fire off an e-mail to ITV and Sky myself...

I need some technical assistance here! So ITV4 is not going on the Irish EPG. Could someone kindly tell me what you have on channel 136 Men & Motors. Here in London I have Live UEFA Cup from ITV4 on MM. What do you have in the Irish Republic?

I think thats the way they're doing it until Nov 7th when it will be oficially available on satellite.

ITV 4 is currently on 136 on the Iriish EPG, I guess it will be gone from the EPG on Monday based on ITV's response.

This may also point to ITV2 not appearing on 118 either.

You are all probably watching the football now!

I did read that ITV4 will be on the 120 EPG from Nov 7. If it is free wont you in the Republic get it on the same EPG from Nov 7?

Sky Digitally speaking we only have it fully on Other Channels like you! I think after the football M&M will return to normal schedule.

we wont have the same EPG

for example of all the BBC channels only BBC1 Northern Ireland and BBC2 Northern Ireland appear on our EPG

    Mossy!
What does this mean for you. On Monday it is alledged ITV4 will be on EPG120 here in the UK. Will ITV4 stay in 'Other Channels'? I would assume it will not keep the 'name' 10072.

The EPG set up on your box? Is this done by some satellite communication between Sky and your Sky Card and the set up is stored on the hard drive.

    10072 will change to ITV4

the EPG is determined by what viewing card you put in

with my sub card i get the Irish sub
my FTV card gives me the EPG for the south coast of England

I assume that's just for the football as its gone back to the usual MM schedule now?

BBC3 & BBC4 are FTA. The BBCradio was FTA even when TV wasn't. None of this is on Irish EPG.

Go 501, press red, wait for interactive to load, push Irish card in upside down (or any dummy card) and press Backup / Sky. UK EPG will load after a delay.

I wouldn't be too overly concerned at the response.. I got this email in relation to the question of when ITV would go free to air (I asked the question on Monday 31st October) the reply:

"Thank you for contacting the ITV Duty Office.
I’m afraid that we have no details on the BBC & ITV Freesat service which is due to start sometime next year.
As soon as details are announced they will be issued to the Press and information will appear on our website:
    www.itv.com
I’m sorry I can’t be of further help at this time.
    Kind regards,
    Duty Officer"

So, hang on in there... I reckon ITV4 will appear just like that on the 7th!

I have no idea whether ITV4 will or won't appear on the Irish EPG on the 7th, but I'm pretty sure that the Duty Officer at ITV doesn't know either. They have never appeared to well-informed of developments, or if they are, they play their cards very close to their chests.

I'd say they're basing their reply on the fact that ITV1 is not on the Irish EPG, and I'd imagine you'd get the same reply if you asked them about ITV3.

It's quite possible that ITV4 won't appear on the EPG, but I wouldn't rule it out completely on the word of the Duty Officer at ITV.

I'd say the Champions League alone would be reason alone for ITV4 not to be on Irish EPG. Though ya never know. We'll know in 3 days I suppose.

My UK subscription is starting to look less worthy now that ITV is FTA! Though I do like Channel 4 so will keep it for time being.

I decovered the same thing by accident with a slight twist.
I went to channel 700 and went into movies active which cannot be viewed without a viewing card. When I removed the card and backed out of the menu, all of the pay channels were gone, but I had the english EPG so BBC3/4 were in the right place.
