newbie: making money outside of 9-5 job

    how would I go about paying tax on money made outside of a 9-5 job which pays the PAYE/PRSI.

    You could always try and set yourself up as an Ebayer. You might even be able to dabble in and out of your account from your work computer. I think it's be difficult to be the next Denis O'Brien doing this; perhaps you could set your sights a little higher?

    Of course if there was an easier route outside resorting to a 9-5er safebet, everyone would be entrepreneuring it up.

    I think the op is trying to pay tax on money that the "are" earning after hours. If you are in a second job this link should help.

    Basically you have to get your credits split between both employers. If not your second employer will put you on emergency tax.
