Hi, i'm in need of a laptop to use music programmes such as Cubase and Reason for my college course. The dell site reccomended the Inspiron 6000
    Processor
    Intel® Celeron® M Processor 360 (1.40GHz, 1MB L2 cache, 400MHz FSB) & Intel® Pro WLAN 2200 802.11b/g
    Operating system
    Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition
    Memory
    512MB 400Mhz DDR SDRAM (WAS 256MB)
    Harddrive
    40GB
    Monitor
15.4" Wide Aspect UltraSharpT WXGA (1280X800) Screen
    Graphic Card
Intel® GMA 900 shared graphics memory up to 128MB
    Optical Drive
Integrated 8x DVD-ROM/24x CDRW Combo Drive
    Cost
    €879
I basically need it for digital music, word processing etc and maybe the odd game of Football manager. Think it suits?

God no, that laptop spec is awful. Stay away from celerons, upgrade to a centrino and get a dedicated graphics card.

I'm doing some music and graphics editing for my course and am partial to football manager myself. This is the laptop I've ordered:
