Help with getting a new keyboard.

I like to use keyboard shortcuts as much as possible and tend to use the arrow keys for scrolling and page up/down. When I'm on the computer for a while and I'm using a mouse I swap it from my right to left hand every so often. I'd like to be able to do something similar with the keyboard and have a keyboard with an arrow section and pg up/down on the left hand side of the keyboard as well as the right.

I've had a look around and can't seem to find one. I've seen the keyboards with a separate number pad like this one but that's not quite what I'm after.

Basically, if standard keyboards look like this :

    keyboard1.JPG

then what I'm looking for is this :

    keyboard2.JPG

Has anyone ever seen one like this or do you know where I could look to get one?

the closest thing is the logitech diNovo media desktop (the one you linked to) with the seperate num pad which can sit anywhere within 10m of the bluetooth hub - i use it and its super. Its got a button on it that switches from numpad mode to 'nav' mode which is essentially like num lock off on most keyboards (arrows on nums 2,4,6,8 come into play) only there's a few extra functions.

I reckon that would suit you - i use a diNovo set and i love it. Wireless everything, and the keyboard has the feel of a laptop without the cramped-ness. Mouse is excellent too but you may have difficulty using it with your left hand.

But on the note of scrolling with the arrows - a wheel mouse really is more ideal in fairness. Also, the mouse with that one has a button up and down from the wheel called "glide" buttons which scroll steadily just like the arrows.

Yeah that's the one I was looking at on Komplett. It seems pretty good alright but I was slightly unsure about the range, it's good to hear a personal recommendation. I don't mind switching the mouse over so the number pad wouldn't be a problem. I don't generally use the number pad for scrolling but I guess I could learn. If no-one else has any suggestions it's top of the list. Thanks!

Your query had me testing out those glide buttons i mentioned. :D

They aint like the arrows, they are actually page up and page down!

    Perfect!

That sounds good. I actually prefer to use the keyboard if I can, for general usage I find I'm quicker than with a mouse. Games are an exception of course! I don't have a problem with switching sides so those pg up/down keys on the mouse could be worth a try out if I get that. Thanks again.
