Door open at 7 game begins at 8. Finger Food available. Beginners lessons are also available, and run by dealers. Phone 0872925515 for further details. This is Premier Pokers second event and the blind structure has been revamped after considering feedback from our first night.

this is the next event for premier poker, their second.
they are a new company trying to give it a go and are very professional in their running, dealers on every table and are giving beginners lessons to try and bring poker to all those areas not too common with it
tournament finished at 3, and blinds should be as slow as possible considering the time restriction
its capped at 126 players, so if anyone is interested in taking part they can pm me or reply here and i can book a spot for them.
7.5 guaranteed , rising depending on numbers etc.
also if anyone got wind of the navan event they already held, one of the men who walked with 3k the last time was playing hold em for the very first time, so should be easy enough to make in roads, with a bit of patience.

also ive got in touch with the head guy there, and i got him to throw something in regards boards. If ten or more boards members play in this, give your name and user name at the desk (mentioning this offer) and the last boardster standing gets 150euro, once ten or more involved.
its not much, but makes it interestin and a bit of extra bragging rights

if portlaois is a bit far to travel then ill try and make an offer like this for all the up coming events, thanks again lads+lassies

How much is the registration for this event?
If there is no registration fee, exactly what percentage (or amount) of the prize pool will be used to cover costs and proifts?

There is no registration fee. If everyone tops up/rebuys 1.2 times projected profit for the first night after all costs(no equipment costs included) is ballpark 10% of revenue. costs are high with the "dealer at every table model". Initial launch costs are also very high. If rebuy multiples are higher the pot will be topped up. The model is only evolving and most events with the percentage model have no real downside so a small premium is to be expected over the other events in return for the risk of guaranteeing a pot . From talking to the guys they seem to have a long term strategy and I think they'll not be going for short term killings at the expense of their brand. I think the fact they are limiting it to 125 participants signals their intention not to fleece the punters like some of their competition. But don't shoot the messanger I'm just relying what these guys are telling me, all will be revealed over the course of the next few events.

You're going to have to get the guys organising it to get on here and post the full details or else find out and let us know.
A guaranteed prize pool is only a good thing for punters if there's an overlay/small field. If there's a big field and/or loads of rebuys then it's very easy for the organisers to take a massive cut.

It's probably the biggest issue for knowledgeable players when deciding if an event is worth travelling for. So I'll leave this thread here for a little while and remove it if no more details are forthcoming.
