Cheapest way of calling home from US

Going to NY for a few days and wondering what the best way of calling home is. Am on Vodafone RTG. Can calling cards over there be called from my mobile? I know most hotels add a fixed charge to use cards. Apologies if in wrong forum but can't see anywhere else to post.

Get the person at home to call you at your hotel. Tell them to use www.telestunt.ie, they have an access number 1890 943 12 which is a local call rate.

Another alternative is to set up an international callback account with Yaptel... http://www.yaptel.com/international_callback.asp

cheers - so basically there is no cheap way with a mobile - need to use a lnadline.
