Firstly, I am getting worried about the obvious soft spot that Kai and Nukem have for each other... it was interesting for the first few weeks, now it is just worrying. Also, Pete if you attempt to show anyone those pics there will be trouble.

Finally I was going to totally boycott this post but I needed to make the aforementioned points.

After realisiing that almost nobody else took this thread seriously... Im going to stop. But yeah, the above 4 stick out. As for the students, most of the hot ones ive seen, i havent a clue who they are, but the best 6 can fill up the last 6 slots.

Although I fail to see how this thread went off-topic. By definition posting of pics helps people to see whose hot or not in UL? Does it not?

Apart from all that, I've never had any hot lecturers/TA's...so there!

I'm not liking this thread one bit. All this agro over 'in-jokes' etc... there were in-jokes going on here long before any of us met up, that is just our sense of humour, which everyone is entitled to. You could join in if you like, or not. I appreciate it might be boring for you to read, but it is also boring for us when noone posts, so I think it is unfair to give out when we do.
Secondly I dont see the point in this thread anyway. There was one like it during the summer, and again now. If 'in-jokes' are for email only, the spotting and rating should be for 'in person' conversations only.

Sorry to be ratty guys but I didn't start the bad feeling here. I think everyone should just get along and have a laugh, hopefully sometimes be entertained, and helped out with advice. Noone said anything mean, hurtful, sinister etc so what is the problem. Can we all just be nice?

To be fair, I think this is a great thread. If you don't like the in-joking in the tread, don't bother reading it and skip to the bits that deal with the subject matter of the thread. I'm gonna sit on the fence and agree with both sides of the argument in this thread that

(a) In-joking can make people who are outside the in-joke feel left out but that's the nature of an in-joke

but

(b) It's better that they are replying to the thread at all rather than leaving it blank, as one of the in-jokers said.

To be fair, there are loads of hot ladies in UL - indeed, the badminton club's website used to claim that it should be called the "Club for people that are good-looking in UL" but that page is under construction at the moment.

To be fair I should stop typing to be fair.

I had one tutor back in second year who was savage, French too. There's another girl who me and my friends have just dubbed "The most perfect ass in UL" and have left it at that.

Oh yeah, and I'm sick of every year people commenting on "What do you think of this batch of first years?"- cos I reckon that in every year you're gonna get hot, average and funny-looking people, you can't really generalise about whole generations of people and say that one year's crop are hotter than another's. Unless you're comparing a group of people from Ireland circa 1846 to today's lot - I'd say today's group would be alot hotter because they'd be healthier and not-malnourished.

I've had a few hot TAs, and everyone but me thought our economics lecturer last year was hot.

As for making it a requirement to have hot lecturers, I'm not sure. We had this really hot lecturer, but it was in a very technical subject, and for some reason, everyone kept getting distracted in the middle of complex topics.

I think it's better to have in-jokes than to have nobody posting on the forum for days at a time. It gives me something to read while I'm pretending to work.:D

had a hot TA for cultural studies...he had cool clothes and hair (shallow as a teaspoon i am)... do see a lot of attractive guys and girls around...we're a beautiful university... i generally go for people that make me laugh tho. how bout, "funny people in ul that you fancy"? i could think of plenty of those!
