Two Questions

    (1) Is it possible to find the Hand Histories for hands on Paddy Power that show what all the players on the table were holding, whether you were involved in the hand or not? I've heard that this can be done on some sites and was just wondering if PPP was one of them.

    (2) Could a person who makes a living from playing poker on-line claim tax back on buying a new computer in the same way that businesses do? :)

    Thanks,
    Wayfarer

    (1) No. Only exposed cards are shown in the hand history
    (2) I presume so provided all your winnings etc. are declared

    (1) No and I don't think anywhere does this. Some sites will reveal in the hand history a hand that when to a showdown but was mucked on see a better hand before it. That's as far as it goes.

    (2) Income from poker and all forms on gambling is not taxed. Therefore you won't be able to claim back money as you will never pay tax on that source of income anyway.

Thats what it must be, cheers DapperGent. Though I do remember hearing somewhere (I think it was in a Phil Helmuth DVD I came across. This was the only vaguely useful information he offered in the whole thing, that is, if it turns out to be true!) that you could e-mail the site and find out what hands people were playing.

There is no way the sites will tell you. In the majority of cases they are right in not telling you, but occasionally it would make more sense if they did give out limited specific info. eg. I had a collusion incident with one of the main sites and they would not reveal even a few hands of the other players, yet they used this information to justify their decision.

As with any information people don't want to give you these days, you won't get it because of "security reasons".
