Combining Satellite and roof top terrestial aerial

    Hi,
Can anyone help me with a problem i have trying to combine my satellite and terrestial RTE/UTV aerial down the same line.

Outside I have a combiner. It will allow two inputs one input has a 5-850mhz and the other input has a 950 to 2400mhz with a dc pass forthe lnb. Inside the house I have a wall socket diplexer that splits the to signals again for reception at the tv and satellite receiver.
My problem is that I cannot get a good terrestial reception. The satellite reception is fine. When the terristial reception is plugged directly into the Television It gives a good reception. I have already replaced the diplexer wall socket with no improvement. Am I getting too much attenuation with the combiner and diplexer and should I be amplyfying the signal from the terrestial signal before combining with the satellite signal ?

Hope someone can point me in the correct direction?

These products work badly. Often they are poorly made.

The TV will be poor. Take it back or put it in the bin. Add a separate coax for TV aerial, daisy chain via Satellite box RF in.

    Go Services 4 0 1 Select
(Secret / hidden installer code) and change the Sky RF modulator from 68 to a channel at least 2 or 3 away from any TV in your area to reduce interference to nearly zero.
