I have to say I nearly jumped around the house when I saw the ad last night!

I was minding my own business reading a book while herself was watching "Fair Schity" when I heard the immortal Judge and to use a well known pun, all my Christmases had come at once.

That's what they told us for years. Either a devious lie or they've remade the missing 24 minutes of each episode with CGI.

I have it! It is mine! Watched it last night-what joy, what rapture! What crappy post-production RTÉ have, in one episode, the second last on the dvd I think, there's a still with a red cog on it and the words "processing needed", right in the middle of the episode! Well done RTÉ, ye can't even put video to dvd properly!

I have also seen it, and I'm glad I did. I was just a bit too young to remember it on telly, so it was all new to me.

I really don't know how to describe it. In one sense, it's complete and utter drivel with terrible production values, acting, and plots thinner than diluted water. Missing episodes that might have shed some light on things didn't help either.

But in another way, it's gold, pure retro, comedic, so-bad-it's-good gold. I just couldn't stop watching it. It's more compelling than a flaming train wreck.

Go. Buy. If you regret it, there's something very wrong with you.

Saw LOADS of the DVD's in HMV, Henry Street. When you go in the door, they're to your left.

    Following closer inspection.

This is 7 consecutive episodes based on the one plotline.
Episodes date from 1979 and 1980 and I remember seeing them at the time.
There are 7 chapters - to coincide with each episode

    BUT
    and this is not cool.

As soon as one episode finishes it goes straight into the next, skipping the end credits and most of the start credits of the new one.
Obviously there are opening credits for the very first episode.

There is a separate option to 'watch credits' which is essentially the end credits for each of the 7 episodes - in a row. Pointless editing.

Why they couldn't show each episode in its entirety is beyond me. Possibly to stop the kids being bored? But are kids going to watch this?

Volume 1 implies there will be future instalments - presumably based on sales.

Well, Hall's Pictorial Weekly Vol.2 is out this year, following on from last years first edition.

It's 17.99 in Easons. Cheapest I've seen. Bosco is the same price.

Hall's Pictorial Weekly vol 2 is already out.

I hate to bring this up but Wanderly Wagon was crap. Read this for definitive
proof. I've yet to get anyone disagree with the points I've made so please tell me if you feel otherwise.
