Hey, just thought I'd post this here... Anybody any clue if Jesus Christ Superstar is planning on playing in Dublin in the near future? I'd love to go see it, but as far as I know, the closest it's been lately is Belfast.

If not, anywhere else in the Republic?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Just got an email from ticketmaster today saying that this will be on in the Gaiety from the 07/02/06 to the 17/02/06 - hope this helps

It's on in the O'Reilly Theatre on Great Denmark St as the Belvedere College Opera the first week of January.

silvo, that doesn't say anything about Jesus Christ Superstar; it says Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is on in the Gaiety, though.

marshmallow, I didn't find anything about that on the ticketmaster site, or the O'Reilly theatre site, but I found it on this. Thanks. It doesn't say anything about tickets, but I'll ring up the O'Reilly hall at some stage about it. It's a college opera, though, so I don't know how good it'll be!

    Cheers folks

You'll be surprised at the standard of the college performances!

Christmas '03, they did Les Mis and it was AMAZING!
Christmas '04, they did Westside Story and it was nearly as good.

I could go back further but since then the Operas have improved so much.

The girl who is playing Mary Magdelene, has been getting her voice trained for the past 2 years and she has an absolutely amazing voice.

    Dave,

You are best off going to www.reallyuseful.com and you will get more info.

College gigs can be quite good indeed and if they institution has a lot of money to splash on the production..happy days.

Check out Belvedere.Great venue.I did Cabaret there a few years ago.Cracking stage!
