Magnet and Sky deal

    Sky makes a deal with Magnet Networks on a new "Sky by Wire" service which would mean that you could get sky channels on Magnet Networks for a fee. Magnet will be taking these fees as skys agent in Ireland. Sky Sports 1,2,3 and 2 movie screens will be included in this deal (could be even more details are sketchy).
    This service will be availiable in the Leinster region at first but Magnet hope to expand this service to galway, limerick, cork and waterford in the next few months. This deal will start taking place as of the 31st of October.
    BSkyB have expressed interest in other broadband / cable companies in the UK so there could be a similar deal made in Britain soon.

    overall I think this deal is positive for magnet who already offer a decent service to people in Leinster

    reading the link it includes Sky Sprts Xtra and Sky Cinema. i am presuming that includes all the channels. could be a nice alternative

    indeed would be a nice addition to magnets broadband and telephone offering
