As my missus and I are spending some time in a non-english speaking country I've found myself resorting to tv DVDs instead of watching the local terrible tv.

I'm trying to find the cheapest method to further our collection/pass some more time. With DVD box sets running upto 50 euro a season it can work out to be an expensive business. DSL helps with things but only the latest series, Lost, Desperate Housewives etc... but it's no good for the older series.

I've tried scouting the bargin bins of various sites, tried the DVD search engines for bargins, and even scouted out the rental sites but the problem here is that they take a box set and charge for each individual disc...

What I've been doing is scoouting ebay for bargins (example looking at ebay.de and buying discs that are only available in english, not as many bidders), recently I got Cheers seasons 1-3 for 33 euro with this method. But its not that productive, I've even thought about resorting to one of these items where you buy all of the Sopranos for example from China for 50 euro, but am afraid here I'll get screwed...

So my question is this, anyone know any good sites for even ex-rentals of tv shows to keep us going? Anyone willijng to rent/swap any shows to/with me?
