Doesnt matter, if you order before they spot the mis print they can still make you pay the original price :).

No they can't. They cannot deduct anymore than what you authorised at Checkout.

The worst that can happen is they will cancel the order.

In this case, I think they will honour the mis-price as its not a huge mistake.

Happend to me about 3 year ago, a laptop was meant to be 2300 and we got it for 1200! One of the lads bought 8, they honoured the sales

The extra €60 gets you the 17" flat screen .Not a bad price...

No they can't, contract law says so! ;)

Why do you reckon it should be 690?

It says reduced from 569 to 510 on that link so where does the 690 come
    from?

If I remember rightly another similar thread mentioned something about the actual contract not being valid until they had invoiced you for the items (which you recieve with the shipped items). So they can refuse to sell anything at the wrong price unless they actually ship it to you with an invoice for the amount you were trying to buy it for.

If they shipped it with an invoice for a higher price then you would effectively owe them the remainder (of course they won't ship till you have actually paid them of course, it is Dell after all).

I got an "e-shot" from them with several machines on it - when I clicked on this one (marked @ €690 in the e-shot), it comes up at €510.

Anyway, if you look at any other Dell machine, you will not get a P4 with a 15" flat screen for anything like €510.

Tried this before when there was a mistake on their website and here is an email I received after about 3 weeks of hearing nothing back:
Even though it says UK storefront it was the Dell.ie

    Dear Customer,

There was an error on our UK storefront that resulted in incorrect pricing being advertised for various products - you entered a request to purchase one of these products and due to this error we are unable to process your order.

    Your Internet Reference Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Please accept our apologies for this error and we hope that you will revisit our store to continue your purchase request.

    Signed:

Agreed, Dell machines are hard to upgrade. But for a shade over €500, I think its a pretty good buy for the average home user.

It can't be bought - as soon as you click on continue (without selecting any add ons or upgrades or anything) the price jumps to 670 straight away
Pity - would have been a brilliant price. Take off VAT and trade value of the tft it would have been a €270 P4 baseunit, even though it's the older chip it would have been still cheaper than anything similar you could build yourself!

They will honour it if the difference is not too big..

This wasnt the case lastnight when I was just toying with the idea of it while adding the 17inch lcd...They must of sussed it out and put correct price on it today.

The brother phoned them about this and while they did say it was a misprice they were willing to honour the price and even dropped down to €440 - the monitor

personally, i think the pc is a pile of garabge but for certain uses it would have ample functionality.

You could go for the Dimension 1100 (base unit without monitor) in Small Business Section for €301 delivered. 512Meg/80Gig Celeron.

    Code is D11111
