You should be able to get the full Series 1 on Region 1 DVD for about £26.99.

    A lot less than €70....

The full first season is out in America already for about €40 including shipping from amazon:
    @ amazon.com
    @ www.playusa.com - €13 more expensive than amazon

whereas on this side of the water they're going to rip us off by releasing only the first half of the series on october 31st for €1 more at amazon:
    @ amazon.co.uk

I think us lucky Europeans have so much spare cash compared to our counterparts in the US, that we actually want to buy season 1 of lost in two parts costing £34.99 each, no way would we want the same deal as Americans who can buy it as one complete edition for $34.98 from Amazon.

There won't be a full season out for a while if at all. The first half is out next week and the 2nd half is not out until Feb 06,so if it happens,it would be a while after that I'd imagine.

DVD Shrink is also your friend for legal back-ups of DVDs you own only of course (and yes it is legal to back-up your own DVDs).

Yeah, the Irish Independent's Day & Night magazine yesterday also had a review of the Lost DVD and quoted it for about €70 .. and said it was a 7 disc set whch included all episodes of the 1st Season.

Can't wait for buyers to hunt around local HMV and Virgin looking for this 7 disc set! :D

That exclusive 8-disc set is a con - it's the standard 7 disc along with a FREE disc that was handed out to people who purchased it at BestBuy stores in the States on the day of release.

See here to read about the BestBuy disc

Bit of a joke if you ask me!

What a great program, it's class. I started to watch it a few weeks ago with my sister the two of us love it. Once a week on a Wednesday night wasn't enough for us, so I got the whole first series off my mate for €20 and watched it today. The program is brilliant. What's the situation on the second series, are they still making it ?

Is the reason we only get 2 buy the first half of the series over here because its still being aired in the uk on channel 4? because its just not fair. So when does series 2 start up again on episode 6 in the states?
