In my hall ive central heating pipes coming down out of the ceiling to the hall rad. They where covered by a plastic trunking (assuming thats the right word) but i accidently melted it striping paind from the door beside it. Bought new white trunking the same size in b and q but the way it connects to the wall on the black plastic brackets is completly differend. Went back to band q and they dont know what i need and said they only sell the big white part and noone there knew how to connect it to the wall.

Anyone know either where to get the brackets or where i can get another trunking with brackets.

    Hi
Is it trunking?? or just light plastic tubes(pre slit)(wallpaper / paint shop) that just cover individual pipes? If it's the latter, it don't come with brackets but I've seen plastic pipe / cable clips used. Any chance of photo?

    Hi,

The trunking we have used didn't have brackets, we had to drill through the back of the trunking and then use wall plugs and screws, the cover just snapped on.

Just had heating fitted in ours there during th week ...exact same scenario as OP where the hall rad's feeder pipes comes down from the ceiling....the fitters encased it in 60mm wide white electrical conduit which was fixed to the wall using screws. The cover then simply snaps on...I assume they wouldn't use it if heat was an issue...can't say where you'd get it though..

    Hi tapest,

No complaints or comments and the customer is a neighbour beside the work shop so I would have heard about any problem in the nicest possible way, the Lady always brings out tea and biscuits when she knows I am there ;)

    Hehe
A mental image.... Sitting in 1/2 lotus position, looking very uncomfortable, grubby hands(shovel size), rakish grin and devilment in the eyes..And one knows exactly what's going through his mind, where's his next cuppa coming from..and, more importantly, how's he gonna wangle it...Somewhere, from deep inside you there's an uncle Terry trying to get out.

    Hi Kristok,

Looking at your location, the nearest I know of are in the Blanchardstown area,
T.P. O'Reilly, Electrical Wholesalers, Clonsilla Road Blanchardstown,

If you enter Blanchardstown from the M50 drive through the main st. up the hill where there are traffic lights with a left filter lane, turn left and immediatley on the right is O'Reilly's next to Ulster Bank and Credit Union, the entrance can be hard to see because of landscaping but just use Ulster Bank car park and it's easy to see.

Next is Clonee Electrical Wholesale, Coolmine Industrial Estate.

Same directions but keep driving up Clonsilla Road, there are signs to turn right passed traffic lights for recycling centre, turn left at renault garage drive passed Right Price Tiles and second (I Think) on the right follow the road around the small units and CEW on left.

It might be easier to use the back roads but you can check the telephone book for better directions.
