Whats your views on Atlantis?
Is it a worthy successor to SG-1 or is it the "enterprise" of Stargate?

I myself am a fan of Atlantis but may SG-1 fans I talk to arent happy with Atlantis because Jack isnt in it.

I watched the first season and thought it was pretty decent, it's no match for SG-1 but I do think it does it some amount of justice.

I like Atlantis. Sure it does'nt have SG1 but to be honest, SG1 has passed its prime. I still love SG1 but I'd watch an episode of Atlantis over SG1 at this point.

Havent seen Jack in SG-1 for a long time, maybe few secs only in 1 or 2 eps only this season 9A ?

SG1 not too bad though. But theres very little choice out there these days for any scifi-fans.

I think that Atlantis is developing well, especially in contrast to the slow start to the new season of SG1

Was big SG1 fan, lost interest early Season 8, took to Atlantis very well. Good first season, sipping somewhat this year.

BSG whips both of them hands down, an intelligent Sci-FI series that provokes as well as entertains.

But you're right, precious little else out there.

I love SG-1 but can't stand Atlantis at all mainly because I don't like any of the cast except Rodney (David Hewlett). Everytime they get into trouble I'm thinking "Yes, maybe now they will all die" but it hasn't happened so far.

I do think the Wraith are cool adversaries, will keep watching in the hope that they may slaughter the main cast at some point.
