Put an RSS feed onto a webpage?

I know it's supposed to be really simple, but i can't figure it out.

I want to be able to put a feed from a blog onto a webpage for the purpose of annnouncements.

I figured it would be updated automatically like i understand the blogs on the boards.ie frontpage are.

I've tried various things to try to do this, but nothing i've tried has worked. I was told i wouldn't need to install any software to do this.

I thought i'd be able to make the posts from agentsmith's blog on www.boards.ie/planet appear by somehow using the code which comes up when i click on the feed link at the side.

If that's what i'm supposed to do, then i don't know what to do with the code. Do i just paste it to the HTML source code of the page i'm making?

    Thanks for any help.

One of the things i've tried is this:

I found a site here which appears to do pretty much what i wanted. However, when i put the code into this page, nothing happens. Is there something else i need to do to make this work?

What exactly do you need it to do?

That site can customize how it looks, just post the script into your page..you can still have your html page stuff around it

I expected it to put the box like it has on the left on this page, but it doesn't do that when i pasted it to the code of this page (as i said above). What i want to do is a little different, but if i can make this work, i'll be able to figure out how to do what i want. Hopefully.

EDIT: for fuchs sake, i found out NoScript was just blocking it each time. So I've uninstalled that most annoying of Firefox extensions.
