    last night at the local, fun night, low standard, only 1 decent player at the final table, took 1st, only 3rd live tourn, 2 wins :)... want to try out fitz or merrion soon (to get my ass kicked), any recommendations for starting here lads? much appreciated. thanks

    some good tournaments in the Fitz

    Sunday 30 euro Freezeout 6 handed (you will sometimes here this referred to as "oscars tournament") very good blind structure.The best value tournament in this city.

    Monday 110 game,this is a very good freezeout tournament with a good standard of play.I have a soft spot for this as its the first tournament I cashed in.

    Tuesday 50 Double chance game,This is one of the most popular games in the Fitz.It also has a nice structure.

    Friday 50 plus one rebuy scalps game,This tournament is getting great numbers lately.Its amazing how different people play when scalp chips are in play.

    thanks lads, 3 questions

    1: double chance 50?..whats the meaning of that? all in lose? free chips?
    2: scalp again not familiar with the meaning :o
    3: starting times / avg prize pool? (yea think thats 4 questions :eek: )

    1:double chance is a tournament were you receive half your chips at the start then anytime after the first hand you can get the rest.It gives you a kind of safety net.

    2:A scalp game is were everybody is given a scalp chip and when you go all in you have to put your scalp in.At the end of the night you can exchange your scalp chips (if you have any) for cash.

    3:The Sunday game starts at 4:30,all other games are at 20:30.Prize pool varies with the amount of runners,the double chance has had about 2500 the last couple of weeks.
