Travelled Oz for a year and NZ for nearly 2,so good i went back after my 1year visafor another year, fab place, fab people money good in big cities<auckland wellington>depends on what you want to work at while your there!
I would think that you would have to sign up to employment agencies to get things moving and there is a heap of them in the major cities.
just look up yellow pages, have your updated CV on floppy disk or something handy!cos you will be sednig it to hundreds of people!
    flightswise
check out this link to see where you can match up you flights by going to the individual airline websites.
    http://www.auckland-airport.co.nz/flight_info.php?leg=A&range=I

North Island nice surfy thermal, south island nicer mountains lakes skiing.
I prefer NZ to OZ cos of the lack of flying time around the country.
As they say there you could be surfing in the morning on the NI and skiing in the afternoon in the SI.
    5 reasons to go
    1 people
    2 scenery
    3 quality of life
    4 ease of travel
    5 people

buy a cheap, but not cheap, 2nd hand car,Japanese are the best and tour the country for yourself!
    I am sooo jealous!
Have a blast ,you cannot but!!!

I was in NZ earlier this year, just for a couple of weeks - bit of a whirlwind trip! I can't advise on jobs etc. but its a gorgeous country & the people are lovely. I went via LA & Fiji with Austravel (they were cheaper than Trailfinders at the time), wasn't mad about LA but would definitely recommend stopping off in Fiji for a couple of weeks. Anyhoo my one tip for NZ would be not to miss out on Queenstown - absolutely spectacular place :)
