Can you join other games on the internet?It probably means you need a patch,have an illegal version of the game,faulty cd key or have a firewall that is stopping you.
If it is the patch just google for farcry patches and you will get them.

I think you have to register with ubisoft to play far cry online.Anyways its quite ****e:P
