Using Pin with FTV card

I've tried to use pin number (last 4 digits) on a FTV card but with no joy. I'd like to utilise upgrade and block some chan's off epg but with no success.

It doesn't seem to recognise the number I enter.

Is this normal with these cards?

Any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong?

I got mine from Channel4 offer (when I resided in UK:D ), the replacement for my original BBC card.

Should I call SKY about this then?

Got mine off eBay and exactly the same problem. I contacted the guy i bought the card from and the guy i got the digibox from and the card guy said he didnt know the pin and the digibox guy said it could be reset by entering zeros but that didnt work. Does anyone know if there's a way to force a digibox to forget the pin and allow it accept the current cards last four digits? I know from another thread that it's caused by the digibox "remembering" the first pin it held from the original card it was used with or at least thats what the thread said! Cant even get into other channels now either.. :(

think i vaguely remember you ring sky and give them the digibox serial number and they send a reset pin to the digibox over the sat itself witin 24 hours which will then work ...the parental control pin non ?????

It will be looking for the previous card disgits of the phased out card it replaced. If you don't know, then you have to ring Sky.

I got a new Sky box and with it and the new Yellow house card the PIN is STILL the last four digits of the old card I had before.

Call me slow but what's the number for sky in the republic to get said reset number? Is it just the number on the card or is there a specfic Irish one for this kinda thing? Thanks.

Either. The Irish number connects generally to same call centres.
