Dunno if this is right section but ive been trying to ring PC World in Blanch all day and no-one will answer phone.
Im going in 2moro to get a laptop on credit. I just wanted to know what paperwork to bring. Do they need a bank statement? I have drivers licence and utility bill.
Has anyone ever gotton credit from them before? They say they can tell you in 30 mins if you qualify or not.

don't know about pcworld specifically but most companies look for the same thing.

    which are

    1. a vaild ID - like passport/a drivers license

    2. a utility bill that will show proof of address.

now i'd imagine the utility bill could be anything but i'd take a bank statement with me as if they ask for one you have it plus it will have the proof of address.

pcworld are almost impossible to get through to on the phone, best bet is as you say to just pop in there.

    good luck

PC World didnt refuse you credit, HFC bank did, PC World are the middleman, they just send the information to HFC bank, who then make a decision based on the information that is sent to them

Oh yeah, make sure you go and get your business done before 5 pm as HFC offices are closed so they can't deal with any refusals. This happened to me one day around 5.30pm. All the PC World guy said to me was " You're refused credit", "It's their computers" & "Nothing to do with Us" in front of his other customers. Best advice, go to your local Credit Union.

There APR is massive. You will pay back some amount if interest. Go to the credit union and apply for a loan there much cheaper. Even a personal loan from the banks would be cheaper.

If your a student the credit union is prob your best bet. Think i paid 1050 on a 1000 euro loan over a year. Very easy to get as well
