Pollution in the world, animals becoming extinct, overpopulation, africa, islamic fundamentalists, george bush, the new greedy irish, ignorance, scumbags, the garda, corruption, junkies, the fact that bars don't open late enough here, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, oil, souless existence, urban sprawl in dublin, the amount of traffic in dublin, lack of public transport, too many people driving, stuck up chicks, streetfighting...

Just some of the things that I try not to think too much about for my own mental health

but yeah, I'd like to change all those, if that could be arranged?

    the new greedy irish
nicely said, although I also equate that with "souless existence", there's enough of that everywhere else I always figured Ireland would be a safe haven.
The other humanitarian type issues I've probably tried to change at some point or another until it became exhausting and meaningless.

Currently my teeth need changing and I'm thinking of way's to finance the transformation.

    [will gladly accept donations]

cycling is your only man. Anyone living within 15 km of their work should cycle, it's disgusting the amount of cars on the road, and most of them seem to be people driving alone too, from what I can see young women in their 20s in nissan micras etc. Get on your bikes!

    i would change two things.
i'm not sure if both are related, but here it goes

    1) Generation ME! how everyone around my age ( 20's ) seems to be only interested in themselves. makes me sick really, but i cant exactly change other people's behavior.

    2) The way that the bigger the city, the less friendly people are. currently I'm living in rural galway and everyone says hello and generally makes the time to make small talk.
IMO bigger towns should mean friendlier people, more fun!

I beleive I'd prefer the north star to be precisely 1mm to the left of where it currently is. Which might be more difficult now I ponder it cos what way is technically left in space..... hmmmm....

I'd like to introduce a 'LogansRun style' euthanasia policy. The joint is getting a bit clogged up these days and most people seem to only be living for tomorrow rather than today.

I agree on both counts, especially the first one. And also what Adblock said about anti-americanism...tarring an entire nation with the same brush won't achieve anything now will it:cool:

Just stay positive ven0m.Long distance relationships are notoriously hard to maintain. You only see the best side of each other. When you're apart, you hide the negative parts and show only the positive. When you're together, you're so conscious of the little time you have, that you are on your best behaviour.

Still, the marvels of telephone, mobiles, and boards.ie make it that much easier to communicate. It's like cheating on time and distance. It used to take a week to write, send, receive, and read a letter. Now, less than seconds. Ryanair fares are dirt cheap - and it's possible to see each other more easily. If time and distance can be conquered by modern technology, what is truly then a long distance relationship?
    Best of luck buddy

just wondering if people are happy in general scheme of things

Im quite happy with my lot in life.
and if there is something you could change universaly what would it be?

'If I was to change anything that I think would make a difference '
I think that selfish people are the ruination of this world, everyone is selfish to a degree but it seems that the more knowledge and wealth you have the more selfish people become with few exceptions, and considering the way capitalism has swept the world, its only going to get worse.

So I would end selfishness(or greed for that matter).

    share it all out!

I think if I could change anything it would be 3rd world poverty.
I know someone who went to Nigeria as part of her job. She was talking to these three kids and ended up taking their picture with a polaroid camera. The kids were scared at first, cos they'd never actually seen themselves before. When they actually looked at the picture they were giggling and stuff, then they actually realised that they were one of the people in the picture. She said the look of shock on their faces was unbelievable.
That just struck me as really sad. Imagine not even being able to recognise yourself in a picture?
