I'm in the same boat as daitho - I used to know it so well...ahh, sweet memories! More recently if I hear 'tournament players back to their seats' I consider it a fairly good night!

I believe it goes something along the lines of:

And first is a new whopping street great, Jack Dolan Bananas, Calendan Row, First Avenue, Second Avenue, Mickey the Barber, Eastwoods, Nochters, Johnny Cullens Hill, Michelle Smith, Andy Black, Mississippi, Las Vegas, Thunderstorming great......€2150.

I am sure I may have some of it in the wrong order and forgotten one of two bits, but that is the general gist of it.

He didnt say it last night though. No prizemoney announcement at all, just entered on the screen. Very sterile. Must be saving up a special one for tonight. Here's hoping I can compare against the words above. As long as I don't get horribly outdrawn again like nearly every tournament in the last month. Sometimes it happens with 4 tables left, others with only 5 people left. Depressing. C'est Poker though I guess.

Monday 99 beaten by 33 with 6 people left.
Tuesday QJ on a Q42 board beaten by Q9 with 4 tables left.
Wednesday (part one) 66 beaten by AK - J on the river 6 people left.
Wednesday (part two) QQ beaten by A3 - 2 on the river 5 people left. 100,000 chip pot.
And that is only this week. Depressing at times.

Yes I know, I am whinging, what goes around comes around etc etc. Just needed to get that off my chest.

    Thanks 5starpool

Quite a good effort. :D:D:D Haven't heard it for a while. Hope luck turns for you. I missed the Fitz 270 for only the second time last night.

Played in the €400 tourney in the Merrion and had 12000 at the break but card dead after. Out when 5 tables left (from 17).

Beautifully paid off early on when my slowplayed KK  met a flop of 359. I bet 300, was raised to 800 , reraised him to 1800. Called. Turn was K :) . Other player went all-in. I called. He turned over K9. Doubled to 8000.

New Wapping Street links Sheriff Street Upper and North Wall Quay, East Wall.
Jack Dolan banana. Jack Dolan, fruit importers, 165/182 Sherriff Street Upper, taken over by Fyffes. Not “The wild colonial boy, Jack Dolan was his name”
Calendon Road. Caledon Road, off Church Road, East Wall.
1st Avenue, 2nd Avenue. Off Seville Place (Amiens Street / North Strand Road, East Wall).
Micky the Barber. Don’t know. But in The Country Girls by Edna O’Brien … the barber’s children are always called Mickey.
    Eastwood’s; Naughton’s. Don’t know.
Mary’s New Car. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers had a song called “Mary’s New Car”?
Michelle Smith. Won three gold and one bronze swimming medals in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Las Vegas. The meadows. People like to gamble in a meadow?
    Andy Black. A Buddhist.

Sad indeed, but at the same time, it feels like a really appropriate way to honor the man.

All the more reason I love the fitz. Amazing.

On a trivial note, I got a mention for my new haircut last Tuesday week :D
"Mickey the Barber, Ritchie's new haircut" :D:D:D

    Twas better than the cash....:o

Indeed, the only final tables you don't get to hear it (I think) are the freerolls and the €30 FO. And the nights Luke isn't around.
