On the bubble

Went out on the bubble in 20 rebuy last night in the Fitz (truly tragic tale which I won't bore anyone with) - told on leaving that I had free entry to a tournament for finishing on the bubble, and they'd contact me about it.

As I was still replaying my losing hand in my head, I didn't think to ask for any more detail about it. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it a specific tournament for bubble losers, or is it a general entry to a future 20 rebuy tournament? If it's the former, when does it happen and what's the format?

    Thanks

    Bubblicious I love it!!

It's a specific tournie for the bubble WINNERS!! Generally held on the second or third Saturday of the following month at 7.00PM. In this case November 19th if I had to guess. €1000 in the pot with a payout of

    1 €400
    2 €300
    3 €200
    4 €100

You get 1000 in chips for every bubble you win in the month.

Generally about 15-20 players show up (including some five card draw players who are hilarious!!) and it lasts about two hours if you play to the death.

The Fitz will ring you to tell you when it's on - and I'll see you there! ;)

    It's a tournament for losers. :D
Seriously, I played in it twice and it was the easiest money ever. Only half the field turned up, we played for a short time, then we split €1,000 five ways. That happened both nights.
And you are playing against losers. :)

I remember I hit the bubble three times in the fitz (not freerolls!) and I never got an invite. I want my bubble tournament!

I always taught they should give you some special prize if you bubble in the bubble tournament...;)

No Texts no phone calls for you Rory - I'm beginning to suspect filling in that false telephone number on your joining form wasn't +EV Rory!! :p:p

When a player gets knocked out just outside the money paying places, ie paying 1st to 5th ,you fiinished 6th 'on the bubble'
    :)

The bubble position is when you finish one of the money in a tournament.

P.S. That maybe a small tell that you don't play live poker tournaments too often A-K-4-7, or else your setting me for a "move" later ;)
