I'm replacing a dead MB and just want to check that running an Athlon XP 1600+ on a board with an FSB of 333/266 Mhz will be fine?

AFAIR the 1600+ has a 266 MHz bus speed, but is that all cores?

yeah the athlon xp 1600+ runs at 266mhz fsb, most motherboards will support legacy cpus providing they are of the same socket type, check the motherboard manufacturers website, most of them provide lists of which cpus can be used with each board.
