    any updates from ireland off line in the midst of this broadband crisis,?

    has there been any corespondence

    What do you realisticly see happing in the next 3 months?

    do we all agree we will not have broad band before christmass (every year!)


    Should we all not just get to gether and start our own broadband access service :D

    There's not a lot we can do on this directly - ODTR and Eircom both watch this forum and there can be no doubt that they know exactly how users feel about it !

    The current battle between ODTR and Eircom IMO could be a major watershed. Eircom have basically told ODTR to p*ss off - now we will see what real powers the ODTR has.

    If the ODTR cannot handle Eircom on this or if Eircom just decide to abandon broadband then the government will have to face up to the consequences of this and start some real action (don't forget that the legislation relating to ODTR is up for review in the next Dail session).

    This ties in with what we basically said after seminar ... Eircom are going to do nothing willingly and the only ones who can make any real difference are the politicians.

    We are already working on this and hope to have something to report on soon :)

    Thats what Eircom told Esat when Esat offered to pay to put their equipment in the exchanges or ireland

    Thats what Eircom shouts @ Esat when it passes their offices everyday

    and thats what Eircom say to you on every bill you get.


    Eircom, i feel the same about you.we are on the same page.
