I receive eight terrestial channels but ch4 and utv are poor quality.
Have decided to go a satellite route.Reading the posts on this board, some of which are a bit techy,I am confused and unsure whether to go sky or FTA.
Sky looks good cos of the free stuff but about e600 still required for 1st year.Plus I enjoy footy and a good movie.
FTA seems to be offering more lately .
I really want to know if I would benefit by spending that e600+ on a decent dish/lnb and receiver.
    Any replies greatly appreciated.
    MM

C4 has no public FTA plans

UTV maybe from November, Feb 06 at latest.

Get MINIMUM 21 Euro per month from Sky (Variety & Knowledge are best value), and install, box, dish, LNB is free and you own it from day one. Cancel after a year and still get all the free channels (about 40 decent ones + 70 radio)

I have two Sky boxes, one is on renewed sub, one is FTA and also PC FTA sat (4 satellites via one 3 lnb dish & 4-way switch) and Palcom DSL4 FTA motorised sat (about 20 satellites).

Use 3 dishes & quad LNB on one dish that has 3 LNBs

And that way you'll know the box's PIN too - and can use some of the 'features' after you unsubscribe.
