Seniors No Limit Hold Em. I'm old enough. :o
Or any freeze-out Hold Em event costing $2,500 or less.
If I can get the right dress I'll play in the Ladies as well. :)

I hope to play atleast one of the limit holdem events. Will probably die trying to qualify for the big one as well.

I would just love to be there for it. About two weeks, playing sats and cash games. If I did get into the big one then brilliant, if not I might play the $1000 holdem if I was up a few quid.

Given the choice I'd rather play completely different tournaments altogether. Several events come to mind such as Amsterdam,MonteCarlo or St.Kitts Caribbean Classic.
Without a doubt the wsop was by far the least value for money I've got from any event I've partiscipated in.(i've played a few woofull one's)
Apart from that, the treatment of players in general by Harrah's left a bitter taste. I felt players were treated like cattle with no appreciation for their partiscipation and absolutly no facilities. The wsop had NO rake up to a few years ago. The players names were called out one by one for the main event, there was a real personnel touch to it. I understand the volume of players nowadays makes this almost impossible, but I also understand the monies generated from the players (food, accom, cash games),T.V, advertising, and I'm sure many other spin off's such as the trade show (1 cool million from this alone). Surely players deserve a main event with no rake, and a little respect from the organizors. The players rate for accomodation in the Rio was more expensive than if you you just rang up off the bat on certain nights. It's obvious the people running this are accountants, looking to maximise every opportunity for revenue, not players.
I think a European series of events for a month long festival somewhere like the Canaries, where they can cater comfortably for thousands of players (and Families) would certainly be a major success.
Anyway after all that I'll probably still like to play the 2006 main event, just for the sheer buzz of it.LOL.

Since we are not in the world cup this year, I will go over and support the Irish in this!

By the way I'm planning on heading over next year for 3 weeks taking in the main event so if anyone wants to get together and form a posse let me know. Would be more fun if we formed a boards mob.

how can they call this the world series of poker...the world series of hold em would be more apt. looks like there are only 9 events that aren't hold em and the mixed game is still missing. scott fischman will be the reigning champion forever.
