I want to tell you about a little band ,
from a county I like to call DOWN (WHOOO)
I think there the best band to come out of Eire(Dont mention U2 Unless u want some Internet "baten")
But yet Pop bands out sell them.
Ash are bigerin japan than here.
What dose this tell you about the Rock Culture in Eire, well it tells methat it's just not there:eek:
EEK all you want but its the truth.
In my class:eek: people would rather listen to rap music than rock, would rather listen to a beatbox or syntaciser (I cant spell) than a guitar rift o drum solo. Also in my class No one has heard 1.of The Led
2.only few have heard of jimmy hendrix
But when asked who's heard of greenday, Guess what ...Everyone had

Points that you may argue but, just dont
*I wasnt born when 1/2 of these bands were started
**Maybe you like Rap ,your problem
***Yes I'm single minded, your problem too
****People have pinions, I have mine too
    *****Jimmy hendrix kicks ass

If you know any new info about ASH reply or if you want to argue out a point(Im bored + have plenty of time)

    Just spreading the word

I think they're great! I got Intergalactic Sonic 7's and Meltdown. I'd love to see them live but I only caught the last few minutes of them supporting (sorry to mention them) U2.

I have to disagree here. Anyone can make it big in Japan.

****People have pinions, I have mine too

    Pinion:
1 : a gear with a small number of teeth designed to mesh with a larger wheel or rack

2: the terminal section of a bird's wing including the carpus, metacarpus, and phalanges

Now, tell me, which exactly of those do you have? :)

It's true, the rock/metal scene in this country is a sham. You ask anyone and I bet about 5% if even could name any current Irish metal/rock groups, it's ridiculous. The music scene in Ireland needs a kick up the ass and to stop just following the British and American charts, listening only to what the record comapies tell them to.

Ash are definitely underated. They're one of the best bands to come out of Ireland in the last 20 years IMO. I've seen them a few times at festivals or supporting other bands and they always put in a great performance, but sadly they dont get the most enthusiastic reaction from the crowd. I'm still listening to 1977 ten years on

Ash just suck soo much ass tbh, terrible terrible band with one of the worst singers around..

Seen Ash too many times to remember, they have some great tunes, Wheeler is a great songwriter. Love listening to Goldfinger or Walking Barefoot, two absolutely classic pop-rock tunes. Then there are all the singles, also good (except Candy).

    Long live Ash.

    Ash,
....never heard their stuff..so cant comment...but I dont enjoy those festivels much either,,soo many samey amature sounding bands,,,do my head in. Music scene here?...well again is polluted by so many bands that sound like their in second year school rock band dreadful stuff........Jimmy Hendrix?...great guitarist woeful, awful ,tedious old sounding music...Led Zep..had SOME great music ,,,but not what so many crack em up to be, problem with music scene?...too many living in old nostalgia sound,,and trying to play music thats woefully outdated,,,trying dors, zep, type mix of sounds...
For me it sounded crap way back when and dont sound any better today especially with some of the veryyy inadequate players/musicians that are messing at it.

ah well we live in hope of something gooood turninng up.

    ciao' amigos....Baggio............

As much as I thought Baggio was talking out his hole there, Rush are a damn good band.

But more to the topic, Ash are a pathetic excuse for a band. I've had the misfortune to see them, but thankfully Muse were supporting, and to say that Bellamy & Co. blew those sad tossers off the stage would be like saying a mountain is slightly on the large side. Honestly, you deluded peons who actually think you like Ash... you should be ashamed of yourself.

Not a bit I'm afraid, but I might be moving to Dublin next year, so if I've no joy by then, we can hook up and make some serious music.

No problem my friend..the mighty "red machine" will be on stand by :)....by the way did yu meet up with Jcoote and Feyla and Ancient 1 the other night?

I did, unfortunately didn't get to talk with Jcoote much, but there'll be other times. I wonder how I'll compete with this mighty Red Machine though? What is it though? Some kind of Russian Terminator? :p
