Can anyone confirm whether I can play US import games on my DS?

I'm almost positively sure that the D.S. is region free so as long as it has the English language on it you should be fine. The only differences between U.S. and E.U. released games are usually censoring and rating diffs. The U.S. tending to be a little stricter on certain matters.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but its better than re-posting.

When you import Japanese games I assume all the ingame dialogue is in Japanese yea (specifically in relation to RPGs)? Or do the games ship multi-lingual and display what the DS itself is set to?

It depends on the game. You will be surprised how many japanese games are in English or don't require japanese. However usually for RPGs they are only released in japanese. It's best to check message boards and such to see if the game is playable in japanes or is in english.

Its would be more the exception to the rule where japanese games would ship with english (Phoenix Wright i think did) - or some games don't really need the language - Elctroplankton or Osu Tatakae Ouendan.

Other games like for example the recently released Naruto RPG - most likely just japanese. It would be nice, however, if there's was an English site that kept up to date with Jap games etc.
