Timetable of events - Guideline

We would like to see people at the lan the whole time - I'd hate for someone to show up just for 1 or 2 events and go home.

Anyway here is the guideline timetable of events

*NOTE* If u are not at an event in time - meaning having all the right patches and being on the server on time u will forfeit.

There will be other games on besides the ones on this list.

Friday 11.55pm (near midnight ) - Quake 3 (There are 10 signed up - I hope to get 6 more for a great competition - it doesn't matter if ur **** - its a 2 v 2 competition, we will try to be fair on the day) Short competition - team dm rules, time limit 10mins - best of 3 - map for start rounds is pro-q3dm6

Saturday 1:30am (in the early hours of the morning) - Dawn Of War (origional) (there are 11 signed up - it is a 1 v 1 competition) This comp may take a while to finish.

Saturday 1.00pm - Need for speed underground 2 - (8 signed up) - again a 1 v 1 style competition

Saturday 4.00pm - Counter-Strike 1.6 (22 signed up - its a 5 v 5 competition - 3 more would make this perfect) 2 hours to complete this game. Double elimination. (ie u loose twice and ur team is out) Difficult to make teams but we will really try our best on this one.

Saturday 7.00pm - Battlefield 2 (19 signed up for this 8 v 8 tourney - hmm there may be three teams hopefully)

Saturday 9.00pm - Call of Duty (origional) - 19 signed up for this. No planned teams... would a 3 v 3 be cool for this?

There are 45 ppl going to the lan not everyone uses boards.ie but u will... after this has been okey'd by the others it will be emailed out. More ppl can sign up on the day, but in future it should be online sign up only... what do u think?

I'll be looking at the "petition" thread for maybe 1 or 2 other tourneys - closer to the date.

I think its a good idea as it seems like ye spend more time hunting down people to play the games during the lan than playing.

I believe the number 9pm has been thrown around, but I'm sure 8pm will be fine.

i would leave friday out as people would still have to show up from other countys, they might be working until 6 on friday, so might not want to head down until saterday.... just saying some people wont show up for the tourny and team(like Quake 3) mighten work. What time have you allocated for us to enjoy ourselves? :P

Lads none of the arguements put forward has discouraged me from my timetable. Sunday will be used for ad hoc add on tourneys like UT2K4, Quake 4, etc...

I don't care if ppl can't make friday, tough!

Toxick there will be plenty time for u to enjoy urself, u'll not get to the final in everything
