80s clothes

Decided to have a fancy dress with an 80s theme, but I wonder where I can get some 80s clobber. I doubt charity shops will have anything, and it's a little difficult buying clothes off eBay (and expensive when you consider I'll only be wearing them once).

    Anyone got any good sources?

The GF went to a 70's fancy dress a few weeks ago.. we spend a day wandering the Fancy Dress shops in dublin, it seemed to be very difficult to get good costumes for the 70' and 80's.. the 60's were no problem.

Charity Shops are full of crap from the 80's!! Defo worth checking some out!! Go along George's Street/Camden Street. There's a good few around there. Also Capel Street has 2 or 3.

You could also check out Eager Beaver in Temple Bar. They have a good few dodgy shirts and ties and tracksuit tops in there. Kinda pricey though so I'd check out the charity shops first! :)

Just wear your regular clothes and say you're ahead of your time.

You're looking for guys clothes, right? that's a wee bit more difficult to pin down than women's 80s clothes, but....

Hawaiian shirt, shorts, big hair and fake moustache (á la Magnum)
White Suit, Shades and Espadrilles/Deck shoes (Miami Vice)
Find some red braces and just wear a suit for the yuppie look. see if you can find a big ol' mobile phone.
Black suit and black and white check shoes (madness look)
Leather, fingerless gloves and bleached hair (billy idol)
Stone washed jeans, leather jacket, band tshirt and poofy hair
    Frankie Say Relax Tshirt
    Converse boots
    Clashing colours

Thanks all. I've decided to go as the Hoff from his Knight Rider days. A black wig on my head and one down my ruffled shirt and i'm all set. :D
