    hi guys.

is it possible to upgrade the processor on a 1.8 g5 powermac?

also what are the overall impressions of this machine? Im considering getting one second hand for about a grand.

    cheers :)

    please? anybody?

As far as I am aware, there are not processor upgrades available as of yet, but this may change in the future.

One final question, If you had the choice between a 1.8 g5 imac and a 1.8 g5 powermac [with no monitor], both for the same price, what would you choose and why?

Please somebody give me some info on this.

    TIA

powermac for me without a doubt.
you can expand them easily - RAM, hard drives, (pci) peripherals etc.
changing faulty components would be much easier too.

I'm also just wary of a G5 chip in a space like an imac. it may not be logical but
I just don't like the idea.
