    Dito that!

Salas did a few dives in there as well. Fortunately never got rewarded for them. Shoulda been booked on one occasion in the 1st half.

And davitts shoulda been sent off earlier

That said, the celtic keeper was not good. Looked VERY nervous and shakey

Bar that, even though they lost, Celtic are to be proud of. They played against one of the best teams around, and should have won that match!!

Jeees, Martin ONeill didn't hold back either. When I saw him intereviewed after the match, I thought he was goin to spontaneously combust.

The 2nd half perfromance though gives us all hope for the rest of the group stages, although it'll be tough:(

So Italians go down in the box /innuendo/(HurHur)

    Sure we knew that anyway.

I though that young Stillian Petrov looked as good as any player on the pitch.

You could see there was a gap in technique, with the close control and passing of the Italians above what celtic will encounter either in the SPL or the Premiership.

The game is set up nicely for the return match at parkhead.

Chairface every1 would disown u.... hearing you say that!!!!

Celtic were robbed!!! Amoruso should be hunted down and shot!!!!!!! but i think that Celtic need to sign Bosnich!!! Douglas was flappin' at every ball that came into the penalty box!!!! He was bad!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,538 ✭✭✭PiE

And er... you think Bosnich is the answer?

I don't think so, I'm sure the only reason you support Celtic is to fit in with the crowd or because you think you have to because your Irish. If you really want to prove how Irish you are go to League of Ireland games - they're more Irish than Celtic will ever be. I did really feel sorry for Martin O' Neill though he didn't deserve that result.

On the goalkeeping issue I don't think bosnich is the answer, Alan Kelly would make more sense or even a certain Mr. Westerveld is probably looking for a job.

P.S. If your not Irish or you have any real connection with Celtic I take this back

At least they can actually travel to their matches unlike a certain other lot :p

As for signing Bosnich, I suppose they could just strap the lardy fu<ker into the goal :)

at least he would stop the ball going in the top right corner if he was making a hitler salute

Celtic deserved at the very least, a draw. They were technically outplayed by Juventus at every turn- but made up for it in determination, strength and tempo. Juve in turn, did not deserve to win it because of the sheer wastefulness of a lot of their play- especially their strikers. That penalty was an incredibly disappointing decision- it brought a sour end to what was otherwise a very enjoyable game- a clash of footballing styles, which is how Celtic will always be remembered in European football.

As far as 'Gers go...they'd give anything to win a European cup...just to show that they've got one too now :p

Except of course...it's not really the Champion's league anymore is it? It's the ChampionsandwhoeverfinishessecondandmaybethirdifyouhaveagoodUEFAranking League. Also shortened to the "big-money ticket" league. That attitude has seriously de-valued the nature of the competition for me- the older format made so much more sense in footballing terms than the money-spinning exercise it's now become :( [/end rant]

    Occy

PS- Might as well say this now- The Gunners will have a shot at it this year, now if we can just get to the knockout phase... ;)
