We have a time booked in our hall from 12-2.Our sports hall says DCU havent confirmed whether or not they are willing to participate in the competition or not.id appreciate it if someone from Dcu could contact me (Jerome) because we still have to agree a format and how many people will shootetec. The contact details can be found on the maynooth college website.
Id appreciate if this could be sorted out as soon as possible because our sports council is on our back to confirm bookings.

Its not a full competition, basically every club from dcu comes to maynooth to compete with their relevant club Every match is given a weighting, either one point or two points. Its not a full competition. It'd be three to four archers shooting head to head over 30 arrows(My preffered format). because the competition is not meant to be centered on any particular sport, it's meant to be a day when winning doesn't count(losers talk) and two colleges get to have a day off lectures.Well that's my opinion. What the colleges say is that its meant to be a freshers competition<frantically looking for good freshers>.But if both colleges agree the freshers aspect can be disregarded its O.K.

It used to be run between UL and DCU but for some reason it's now being run between DCU and Maynooth.

However still need info on DCU's view on it.

This is the first I have heard about the 35's running again. No one has said anything to anyone in the club about it. (not blaming you just trying to explain)

If you can forward on the details to me I will try get a team together.
I should be able to get 3 maybe 4 people to go at a minimum. I will know by tomorrow evening at the latest

    Details---

We have the hall booked from 12-2, so i was thinking of having a 30 arrow competition same as any competition only 30 arrows, where the highest team score wins to try and balance out any really good or really bad scores.Four archers would be perfect(only have two straw butts) but three would do.We'll have four.

If thats all OK just turn up on the day(excuse unintentional poetry). Otherwise give me a ring, you can find my number here

Okay. I managed to get a team of 4 together although they'll all be shooting barebow and three of them are pretty new to archery.

The 30 arrow competition sounds good.

You can mail me at archery@redbrick.dcu.ie if you need anything else
