Chicago White Sox - Houston Astros (live on Setanta at 12.30am GMT)

Have to say I'm looking forward to the series. First time the Sox have made a World Series since 1959, and the Astros first ever time at this stage.

Tonight see's Clemens against Contreras on the mound. For those of you without Setanta, mlb.com has a great in-game facility. Plenty of stats and pitch-by-pitch updates.

Good job by Setanta, they'll probably give full Fox coverage. It's also on Channel 5 and repeated on NASN tomorrow. Unforunately the Yankees didn't make it this year, but at least it's not Boston :)

Well I managed to stay up for the whole game. Great occasion and the teams didn't disappoint, ended up 5-3 Sox, after a great start it kinda faded out towards the end but Clemens started poorly and it cost Houston. He only lasted 2 innings with a hamstring injury.

Saw the first game but missed the second last night, which is a shame cause I am reading it was supposed to be one of the best World Series games ever .... d'oh!! :(

Getting the high-lights of www.mlb.com, but still not the same ... damn work! my stupid boss won't accept the WS as an excuse not to come in the next day! :D

Same as yourself wicknight! I watched the whole first night and the first few innings of the second and it didn't look like being a classic so I went to sleep! Only saw the highlights just there, it looked unbelievable! I really hope it goes to game 7 so I can have an all-nighter party next Sunday, bank holiday Monday, wahoo!

2-0 Sox ... read somewhere that it has only happened once in the last 12 World Series games that a team behind 2-0 has won the series (or something like that), so looks like bad news for Houston ... but suppose Boston last year taught everyone that there are is nothing certain in baseball :D

Could be all over tonight. I'm going out on a mad one tonight so when I come in it'll probably be the 6th inning or so.

Then I can experience what the Americans do when they get drunk at baseball games!

(I really should stick some hot dogs in the fridge)

Well its all over, the White Sox win the WS after nearly 90 years ... 1-0, solid defense by the Sox stopped Houston even getting a run ... wanted it to go to the weekend, but the Sox deserved the win

Yup 4 game sweep, second WS sweep in a row...

Fair play Sox. They won the crucial first two games and it was always going to be them after that.
