for some reason my hard drive is used 3 quarters of its space and about a week ago it was just a quarter. i've checked loads of files to see if they took up much room, but they arn't that big. when i go into my folder it says its used up 65GB but when i enter the folder and select all the files and look at how much space it is taking up it only says 5GB. i have windows xp and i dunno if its a virus. can some1 please help me with this problem, i've already tried space monger but it didn't help.

hmm it maybe hidden files taking up extra memory. Try deleting the files in your c:/documents and settings/user/local settings/temp folder. Run scandisk at startup and it should correct any of the filesize problems.

Are you sure the entire disk is partitioned? Have a look in computer management -> logical disk manager (assuming Windows 2000/XP here).

    view all hidden files etc.
    Do as Ruu said.
Are you sure you're virus free?

    Also try Disk cleanup.
Tune up utilities 2006 is a good program also

Download Treesize (its in the free software sticky) and it will tell you where your space is gone.
