Bit of a basic question here, i need to put a movie 713mb in size onto a VCD. The vcd is only 700mb though.

So what can i do? Compress or something?
The file plays in windows media.

    Thanks.

    Quick lesson.
Cds originally were made for audio before anyone even thought about using them to store data for a computer.
Audio cds use 100mb for error correction.
MPEG has it's own error correction built into it (MPEG1 in this case)so that extra 100mb can be used. The cd needs to be burnt as mode 2.

Open your burning app and make sure you choose to burn a video cd.
The app will take care of the rest.
If you choose a normal data cd (Mode1) you'll lose out on 100 odd mb.
You can burn that file with room to spare.

Use nerovision express it will auto compress the file to fit on the disk, but WHY

Download VCDImager Tools GUI and create an image file with it.

Burn the cue/bin in Nero. ("Recorder/Burn Image")
