blue screen - need help

    bugcode_usb driver message
    i get this message quite often
    it says to disable any bios memory options such as caching and shadowing
    can anybody tell me how to do this???

    What OS are you using? You shouldn't be getting blue screens.

    Your bios is the bit at the start that says "press del to enter settings". Careful what you do in there though.

    im using windows xp

    when you mean enter the setup is that f2 when you turn the computer on???

    Stop 0xc2 Bad Pool Caller errors are almost always driver errors. It could be the Flight Sim software installed drivers, or, its a conincidence.

    Bugcode_usb driver almost always means its a USB driver that caused the problem. That can be ANY usb device he uses (We see it most often on USB cable modems).

    I would go with Kodo's advice, I would also look to see what USB devices you have and remove all of them, if possible, from the computer.

    Then, I would add them back in, find the culprit, then handle the situation from there.
    so unplug all pheripherials

    what changes have you made recently ?

    reboot into safe mode and use system restore to step back to before the problem

    the BIOS settings - reset to default/normal ones - no overclocking tweaks
    F2 - so it's probably a Dell ? - it used to be Alt-F to get Factory settings

    Be careful - if you don't know how to get into the BIOS, you are better off staying out of it. You can irrevocably damage your computer.

    This solution suggested by Windows is generic enough, I doubt it will do anything for your specific problem. Have a look a the Captn's response, I saw this same error the other day when I was installing a USB WiFi gadget on a laptop. It was driver related.
