All Shop electric stores are closing down and ESB are clearing all the stock.

Saw a 25" Widescreen TV today reduced from 280 to 220. There is 20% off everything in the stores, so drop down and pick up a bargain!

To be honest I've always thought Shop electric stores where outrageously expensive anyway. I'm not surprised they couldn't make them work.

Its got nothing to do with them not been able make a profit in the shops, Bank Of Scotland have bought all the ESB shops and are going to open banks in all the suitable locations.

Why sell them if it didn't make financial sense. In that there weren't making enough money to justify the cost of running them. Theres one in the Blanch shopping center and its always like a ghost town. I suspect it because its beside, Atlantic DIY, and DID Electric. So you can easily compare the prices. But I would be interested in hearing of some of these deals. Last time I was in I had a rummage through their "sale" stock and clearance section, and theres wasn't a whiff of a bargain.

Still theres always a chance. I might have another rummage this week.
