Been out in both cities and have to say this: the bouncers in cork are complete and utter <expletives> ... stay away.

Well I know all cities are dangerous these days, but in my opinion, Limerick takes the biscuit for taking your life into your hands when you go on a night out. Cork bouncers may be assholes, I'd take that over the chance of being attacked in Limerick.

That is the biggest crock of **** I've heard in a long while.

I've been going out in Limerick for four years and I've never had an ounce of trouble. Very very few people I know from Limerick have ever had trouble.

I'm sure it's there if you look for it. If you don't go looking for trouble you won't find it.

And it's a decent place to go out. If you are just turning 18, I'd suggest Trinity Rooms. It's not my cupán tae but you sound like the kind of person who'd enjoy it.

Why does Limerick have the reputation it has if it's completely unfounded and a load of "crock"?. I guess everyone else in the country just doesn't get the Limerick flavour of a "good ole time".

I'd go with Galway but I'm nearly sure you've had a thread on this before....

Where are you from Laguna and how many times have you been to Limerick? Your comments are utter Bollix. I went to college in Limerick for four years and never encountered trouble once. I love going back there. As Jimi Spandex said - if you go looking for trouble you'll find it.

    Maybe you are that type?

All of the trouble in Limerick occurs between rival gangs way outside of the city centre. I feel 10 times safer going out in Limerick than i do going out in Dublin.

Have to say I was in Limerick for a weekend last year and the year before, had a great weekend and never seen any trouble.

Another place thats come on a lot over the last few years is Waterford had a right few cracking wekends. And traveling from kildare is under 2 hours in a car compared with 3-4 hours for cork and limkerick.
