Whats the story with Neighbours????

Hey people,

can someone tell me whats happening with Neighbours these days, been off work for a while and after flicking through the channels, Neighbours was the only thing on and noticed that theres loads of characters from years ago back in the show. any one shed some light, not that i really care off course

You mean Paul and Analeese (and Harold)?

I used to watch it big time when they were in it originally and managed to cath the ep where Paul came back.

Dunno. Usually means a show is desperate for ratings (eg Eastenders *cough*). Neighbours just ain't what it used to be.

Edit: Just checked the bbc site - Neighbours is celebrating 20 years on screen, that's why!

that pauls been back a while hasnt he, few months.

but i turned over and caught a glimpse and there was at least 4/5 neubies (well oldies), just thought it was weird and as you said i just presumed they were desperate for ratings.

20th anniversary, sh*t. i moved to ireland in '86, prob when i started watching it, and for many years later.

I caught the 20th Anniversary Episode and was surprised at how many characters that I knew.

I know how you feel d-arke! 20 yrs...made me feel like a decrepid old fool.

I used to watch it on my lunchtime break in secondary school. Was always late back......
